2009 International and Evaluation Speech Contest

On Wednesday February 25th is Mather Toastmasters' 2009 International and Evaluation Speech Contest. 

My first exposure to Mather Toastmasters was a contest night and I was blown away by the speeches.

More importantly I felt welcomed and accepted, I wasn't even a member yet. I attended a standard meeting

the next week and joined. I have not been disappointed in my choice.

Ok so I am a little biased, but we did put on a great contest and I thank you all for competing, helping out, judging and attending. I had a great time and I hope you did as well. Just for your amusement check out this little video I made of the contest.

Come One Come All

You are formally invited to join Mather Toastmaster for their Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests. It will be held on August 20th at 6:30 pm at 9521 Folsom Blvd, Suite N, Sacramento, CA. It is shaping up to be a great contest, stop by and hear entertaining humorous speeches and quick thinking and eloquent table topics.

Welcome to Mather Toastmasters

Hello and welcome to the Mather Toastmasters blog.

Mather Toastmasters is a local chapter of Toastmasters International and District 39.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.

Mather Toastmasters meets every Wednesday. Doors open at 6:00 PM and meetings start at 6:30 PM sharp, and conclude at 8:00 PM.
